Experienced IT professional will provide Tier-2 technical assistance for the Region NAF IT Manager and team in the implementation and support of various computer and information systems within Navy Region NW Fleet & Family Readiness Programs.

Experienced IT professional will provide Tier-2 technical assistance for the Region NAF IT Manager and team in the implementation and support of various computer and information systems within Navy Region NW Fleet & Family Readiness Programs.
This position is located at Keyport, WA and is responsible to provide technical support and assist with applications and systems to include scheduled task monitoring, automation of processes, interpretation of reports, performance monitoring of devices and servers, monitor MDM solution, and apply various security DISA, SRGs, STIGs or Vendor Best Practices. Assist/cover/mentor Tier-1 with physical installations, configuration and maintenance of personal computers and network devices to include field work when required.
This position is subject to background check in accordance with federal regulations.
Occasional travel within the Region is required.
Qualifications
Knowledge of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting skills. Sound understanding of Windows operating systems and Cisco switching is required. Knowledge sufficient to assist in the configuration of associated systems and to advise and assist both management and staff on functional use is crucial. Knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting techniques and excellent customer service skills required to sufficiently provide high-quality customer service support. Knowledge of Point of Sale Systems, Monitoring, Imaging processes, Cisco devices, and scripting are highly desirable. A degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred. IAT Level II Security and a relevant Technical Certification are required, if the applicant does not possess at hire they must be able to acquire within 6 months with continuing service agreement. One (1) year experience in the position of Information Technology Specialist or in a position performing the equivalent full-time duties. Knowledge of principles and practices of effective communication. Ability to self-manage, communicate clearly and concisely with others, orally and in writing; follow instructions both orally and in writing.
Education
A degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred. IAT Level II Security and a relevant Technical Certification are required, if the applicant does not possess at hire they must be able to acquire within 6 months with continuing service agreement.
