You will attend selective quality control, preparatory and initial meetings, and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy and thoroughness.
You will maintain extensive contact with key contractor representatives to promote an atmosphere of partnering and cooperation; and to quickly resolve problems and maintain construction schedule.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to a range of engineering disciplines (i.e, civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental) required for the design, layout, execution processes of construction operations in order to provide input on construction projects; 2) Making recommendations to resolve problems encountered during construction operations to ensure compliance of safety requirements. 3) Reviewing technical engineering specifications, drawings and statement of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs; 4) Monitoring construction projects to a safe, successful and timely completion.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as record boxes. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work generally involves minimal risks and observance of safety precautions typical of an office setting. The incumbent may be assigned to work areas where certain potentially harmful and chemical agents are present. These agents may include but are not limited to: fumes. Duct, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, chemicals, etc. To ensure employees safety and health, NAVFAC maintains personnel protection programs consistent with applicable laws and regulations. These programs may include protective equipment (i.e. ear protection or respirator), adherence to related regulations and medical surveillance. As part of medical surveillance program, the incumbent may be required to take medical examinations to assess qualifications for duty involving these agents.
