Duties

Help
  • Serve as Chief for the Data and Information Management Branch and in support of Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) MEDLOG Directorate subordinate divisions, branches and world-wide customer support medical logistics teams.
  • Responsible for collaboration among DAD- MEDLOG divisions to achieve functional, technical, and joint interoperability objectives.
  • Advise division leadership on management activities for, strategic planning, governance, process improvements, performance metrics/measures, requirements generation, acquisition/development, operations, and outreach.
  • Lead the development, deployment, training, and sustainment of data strategy, data acquisition, data curation, identification of data quality discrepancies, and data exposure efforts for DHA and military services.

  • Three years of experience in the field with a focus on acquisitions, life-cycle contract management, and portfolio management is desired.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Experience communicating medical logistics technical information and data effectively and efficiently, and provides administrative analyses, research, and evaluation across a wide variety of programs; 2) Experience researching the field, formulating, developing, and recommending policies and procedures to improve the review and analysis program; and 3) Experience ensuring continual process and quality improvement/ assurance and risk management support across the division.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
