Duties

Help

As a National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Technology Service Providers), NB-0570-6, you will:

  • Manage the supervision of an assigned portfolio of TSPs.
  • Design supervisory strategies and direct examination activities.
  • Provide input on licensing applications filed with OCC and other regulatory agencies.
  • Serve as advisor and OCC's expert resource on TSP issues.
  • Participates in the education and training of examiners regarding TSP issues.
  • Participate in projects and studies involving TSP identification and trends.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-V band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:

  • Leading exams or audits of technology service providers (TSPs) or bank information technology, in audit, management, development and acquisition, or support and delivery; OR
  • Serving as a technical advisor or consultant on TSP or bank information technology problems and risk mitigation issues; OR
  • Leading assessments or evaluations of a TSP or bank's compliance with bank information technology laws, regulations and policies.

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of e13xperience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

  • This position is included in the bargaining unit, NTEU 298 Southern District ,NTEU 299 Northeast District, NTEU 300 Central District, NTEU 301 Western District and NTEU 302 Headquarters (Washington, DC).]
  • This is a nontraditional position subject to the Alternative Location Arrangements PPM 3110-53. It may be filled in an alternate location within the MCBS provided the location is cost effective, operationally efficient, and complies with the standards contained in PPM 3110-53.
  • If you are a current OCC employee who previously received a waiver determination permitting you to retain bank securities due to extenuating circumstances, please note that this determination may be rescinded if the nature of your duties changes. We strongly suggest that you discuss the potential implications of any change in duties on a prior securities determination with your ethics official.
