Duties

Help

Responsible for the planning, developing and operations of the Marina Scuba Locker program. Directs the various functions of scuba locker to include, but not limited to rentals, air fill station and resale operations. Serves as the focal point for communicating/implementing policies and objectives of management. Provides input for the preparation of the NAF Income and Expense Budget, the BWO budget and 5 year capital improvement plan. Establishes and maintains controls for resale inventory to include stock control, reorder points, merchandise turnover ratio pricing etc. Ensures scuba compressors are operating and received established scheduled maintenance. Ensures scuba rental equipment in maintained in serviceable condition and keeps all maintenance records current. Ensures the scuba program is financially sound and operates within budgetary constraints. Works with Marketing to publicize regular programs and special events. Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the scuba locker area. Assists with plans and preparations for typhoons to ensure Marina assets are protected and secured. Supervises staff assigned to the scuba lockers provides training and evaluates work performance; provides feedback, and training opportunities. Finds ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed. Ensures employees are trained to provide quality customer service, receives and responds to customer inquiries, comments and complaints.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Applicants must have experience which includes responsibility for planning, programming, implementing and evaluation of programs to include staffing, logistical requirements, budgeting. Must be proficient in the use of computer software programs, i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In addition, applicants must have 1 year experience in retail sales. Knowledge in two of the following activities: water sports (wakeboarding/jet ski), scuba, surfing, snorkeling or equipment maintenance and repair, etc. Experience in POS system and RecTrac is required. Recommended but not required that applicant have current dive certification in PADI Open Water.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
