Duties

Help

If you are selected for the TERM (NTE 3-years) appointment as an Administrative Officer, your responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Serve as the principal advisor on all administrative management matters for programs and operations, reviews and analyzes acquisitions, and accountability of resources;
  • Serve as the liaison to resolve issues relating to staffing, recruitment, performance management, benefits, and award issues;
  • Provide policy guidance and direction to managers;
  • Brief managers and new staff on processes and office protocol;
  • Maintains financial databases, and monitors the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds;
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient accomplishment of day-to-day functions of the Division;
  • Work with Directors on space issues including space assignment, utilization, and other requirements, both current and long-range;
  • Work to improve record management program areas;
  • Responsible for initiating administrative procedures necessary for events;
  • Compose letters, memorandums, and other documents for AIG and Chief of Staff;
  • Provide support for resolving discrepancies with equipment and property;
  • Serve as procurement cardholder for the Division;

  • You will be offered a term appointment not-to-exceed three (3) years.

  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
  • You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level obtained in the public sector. (Specialized experience is paid or unpaid experience which has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.)

Examples of specialized experience includes such duties as: 1) providing management with accurate, timely, and meaningful reports, projections, and recommendations; 2) preparing financial projections, managing budget accounts, and tracking funding; 3) Preparing and/or reviewing all requests for personnel actions; 4) Developing and interpreting administrative procedures and policies for effective administrative operation; and 5) Serving as the principal liaison for agency organization long-range planning on administrative management matters;
