Basic Qualifications:
Degree: that included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics. OR
Combination of education and experience -- at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, including at least 12 hours in mathematics and 6 hours in statistics, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph.
Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience in providing professional consultation in the application of statistical theories, techniques, and methods of gathering and/or interpreting quantified information on scientific and public health issues and programs. OR
have completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education OR possess a PhD or equivalent graduate degree in a field that is directly related to the duties of this position. OR
a combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
