This position is located in Alexandria, VA with the Lead Inspector General for Overseas Contingency Operations within the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), Deputy Inspector General for Evaluations (DIG-EVAL).

Duties

Help

  • Serves as a supervisor providing oversight across the full spectrum of programs, policies, procedures, and functions of DoD overseas contingency operations in support of the Lead Inspector General for Overseas Contingency Operations' mission
  • Serves as a technical advisor in matters related to defense intelligence, counterintelligence, security, and special access programs.
  • Develops and applies advanced analytical techniques and evaluative methodologies in planning and executing projects.
  • Ensures projects are conducted to meet evaluation objectives.
  • Prepares draft and final reports for project and/or summary reports within assigned functional

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as regular duties leading or supervising teams performing assessments, evaluations or similar reviews of programs, functions and operations.


Candidates will be further evaluated on the level and quality of their experience and possession of the following relevant competencies in order to determine the level of your qualifications. These competencies include: Ability to lead in a dynamic and changing environment; Skill in internal and external representation and collaboration in developing and managing evaluations of intelligence programs and operations. Skill in written and oral communication


Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
