Summary

Serves as a recognized technical authority and expert in the Office of Enterprise Information Systems (OEIS), Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Systems. Provides lead technical expertise in the development of measurement and control systems, information and integrity review systems, and annual wage reporting systems. The incumbent serves as a technical advisor for systems projects which require the testing of new technologies and coordination of long-range system design plans.

Qualifications

Applicants must qualify for the series, grade, and selective placement factor of the posted position. Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. To qualify for the 2210 IT Specialist series, the applicant must demonstrate the following competencies:

Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

To qualify for the GS-13, the applicant must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled, that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such IT-related experience must include BOTH: A) developing applications in REACT to support large scale applications that interface with relational databases or APIs; AND B) coordinating development efforts to ensure project completion and implementation OR leading technical discussions for enterprise-level IT projects.
