Help

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Apply measurable performance standards by applying assessment methods; 2) Assists with monitoring contractor performance work on facilities, systems and infrastructure of complex technical nature to include utilities systems (electrical, water, sewer, wastewater), industrial HVAC and controls, fire protection, etc.; 3) Ensuring contractors follow the proper safety principles, practices, regulations, and standards applicable to the base operations support functions; 4) Planning, organizing, and facilitating the necessary performance meetings with the customer and the contractor to help maintain mutual understandings. or

This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

Overtime may be required.

The incumbent is required to respond after normal work hours and work overtime on an emergency basis, and is required to provide a 24 hour emergency contact number. Emergency and/or after hours response situations are very rare.

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

A forty hour work week is typical for this position.

This position is being recruited at the full performance level.

Physical Demands:
Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and climbing ladders while observing the outcome of repairs or alterations to buildings and services to facility systems and grounds. The operation of Government vehicles to visit work sites is required. The employee will be required to do some lifting, pulling, or pushing of field equipment and tools, these tools may include ladders, odometers, and camera equipment.

Work Environment:
Responsible for the direct oversight of the contractor's quality management program. The work may be performed either indoors or outdoors. The employee maybe exposed to extreme temperature, dust, dirt, poor ventilation and dampness when the assessment of projects are outside. The employee may be assigned to observe work in areas when certain potential or harmful physical chemical agents are present. These agents may include, but are not limited to fumes, dust, noise, heat ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, chemicals, etc. To ensure employee safety and health, NAVFAC SE maintains personnel protection programs consistent with applicable laws and regulations.

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
