Duties

Help
  • Pick up and return controlled test material at the designated or shipping point.
  • Transfer materials to and from the site, including the school being tested, and generally involves travel for a maximum of 1 to 2 hours per test session.
  • Instruct applicants on testing procedures and starts, observes, times and ends the test or test segment as directed.
  • Monitor applicants to detect possible imposters and deals with those imposters.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all forms are properly completed, and makes corrections as needed.
  • Prepare applicant packages and mails/transmits both paper and electronic data to appropriate offices for action.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, experience providing clerical support for an organization by performing a variety of clerical tasks, which requires application of a general knowledge of the organization, and office procedures and routines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-03).

OR

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, or university.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required (For intermittent employees, i.e., those who do not have regularly scheduled tours of duty, each day or part of a day in pay status counts as 1 day of credit toward the 520 days in a pay status required for completion of probation.)
