Duties

Help

The responsibilities are as follows:

Public Relations:
  • Plans and coordinates the dissemination of information about program milestones, activities, and objectives through multiple avenues, including print, digital communication, news media, and other methods.
  • Writes and reviews press releases, web announcements, talking points, and other materials.
  • Supports media relations activities, including fielding press inquiries, pitching stories to reporters, coordinating interviews with spokespeople, and monitoring coverage related to All of Us.
  • Develops effective relationships with All of Us staff and partners to ensure coordinated and effective communications consortium-wide. Identifies new opportunities to increase the visibility of the program among key audiences.
  • Supports strategic planning and project management activities, including helping identify objectives and tasks needed to complete projects, establishing timelines, and tracking and reporting on progress.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:

I qualify for this position at the GS-13 level because I have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: coordinating the development of publication, audiovisual, and multimedia products for internal and external audiences; developing public affairs activities and materials to communicate the results of research programs; developing communication plans; answering inquiries about programs and research from a variety of audiences, including the general public, special interest organizations, and health professionals.
