As a SUPVY IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS), you will:

  • Responsible for supervising, managing, and planning a wide range of information system analysis projects including the evaluation and audit of Federal agencies electronic records systems.

  • Analyze and conduct audits of Federal agency electronic records and information systems' general and application controls and communicate technical information to a variety of audiences, including the non-technical in report findings from various audits and reports.

  • Conduct research and issue reports on various electronic records management issues from an IT and systems analysis point of view.

  • Provide advice in all areas of how electronic records maintained in various systems are captured, managed, and stored.

  • Evaluates existing and/or developing tools, techniques, methods, and processes needed to conduct systems audits of Federal agencies electronic records systems in accordance with audit guidelines and procedures.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which have equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience:

- In either a managerial, supervisory or team lead position responsible for overseeing the work of a staff of employees delivering project management functions; AND
- Independently planning a wide range of information system analysis projects including the evaluation and audit of Federal agencies electronic records systems.; AND
- Independently planning and conducting general control or application control assessments for system audits, reviews, evaluations, or similar engagements.

AND

In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
