The OMB Student Internship Program is a program in which students gain knowledge and experience in the organization. Assignments may include research, analysis, statistics, and coordination of briefing books, report preparation, meeting and conference planning, letter writing, and covering meetings, hearings, administrative operations, and/or legislative markup sessions. Internships are available across multiple divisions in the agency.

STUDENT TRAINEE:To be eligible, applicants must be:
A student that is accepted for enrollment or enrolled and seeking a degree diploma, certificate, etc. in a qualifying educational institution, on a full or half-time basis (as defined by the institution in which the student is enrolled). A copy of an official transcript must be submitted with your application to verify your qualifications.
At the time of appointment and upon request, students must demonstrate an overall Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale as recorded on the official transcript. Transcripts must be submitted.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. GS-4: You may qualify at the GS-04 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements:

This is a year-round internship and the intent of the position is that the student is able to work at least 640 hours while still in school in order to be eligible for non-competitive conversion.
