Duties

Help

  • Implements cloud data architecture in Azure Data Lake and Synapse with distributed SQL pools, using established security protocols.
  • Designs and implements Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes in support cloud-based data analytics environments.
  • Maintains SQL databases, including expertise in SQL and T-SQL.
  • Creates and oversees the application of a diverse set of models, tools, and risk and decision science techniques to develop and enhance program operational and analytic capabilities.
  • Uses data management tools to control the organization's storage, retrieval, security, and integrity of data.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of current trends and services for cloud-based data environments.

Specialized Experience Statement:

GS-13: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector such as: experience in data extraction and modeling activities that could be used to support audits and investigations, including improving access to internal and external data; experience in the management and analysis of how to collect, use, manage, share and report data within and across organizations; experience providing cloud data guidance. Ability to ensure stringent application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices to all components of cloud data; and experience in maintaining SQL databases, including expertise in SQL and T-SQL.

TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled.
