Duties

Help
  • Performs a variety of tasks performing several steps or sequences of tasks that require attention to work operations in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures.
  • In accordance with current menu, processes and organizes food, arranges garnishes, checks for appearance, quality and quantity and ensures proper presentation in accordance with set standards.
  • Cleans kitchen utensils, pots, pans, storage containers, as well as sweeping and mopping the floor. Restocks storeroom, walk in refrigerator/freezer, front line refrigerators, freezers, coolers, and dry goods.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions and do assigned repetitive tasks. Ability to perform tasks involving several procedures and to concentrate on work assignments despite interruptions and distractions.
  • Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have ability to read and understand written material.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages (18 years).
  • Certificate of Medical Examination required.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15.j.(1). Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Citizenship eligible under country SOFA agreement.
  • Light to heavy physical effort is required. Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Subject to continuous standing and walking and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending. May be required to work on ladders and use powered cleaning equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area may routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.

Qualifications

1. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment (18 years old)
2. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills ant take inventory
3. Have the ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and possess basic math skills
4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages.
