This position is a mission critical occupation for HRSA. This position is involved in the analysis of system and/or security requirements, the development and implementation of mission critical applications for the agency's Information Technology operations.
As the Director of the Division of Data and Information Systems you will provide technical assistance in support of HRSA programmatic needs including expertise in software development, database design, business intelligence, data architecture, data modeling, geospatial reporting, and mapping in a data warehouse environment.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
Supervising and managing the Division, which is comprised of a staff of information technology employees and contractors who collectively design, maintain, and deploy enterprise information technology applications for HRSA.
Researching and evaluating software, system upgrades, and enhancements to provide technical recommendations.
Providing adequate security and data integrity for data warehouse.
Providing leadership and direction for all IT application development and maintenance.

Basic Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed here:

MINIMUM QUALIFYING SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, an applicant's one full year of specialized experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for successful job performance.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
