The incumbent performs senior level program analyst and coordination duties related to the Lead Inspector General (Lead IG) mission.
Prepare and coordinate well-formulated, accurate, and timely analysis, summaries, reports, and official correspondence in support of the Director;
Support data call, quarterly reporting, oversight planning, review and improvement functions by providing research, data mining, subject matter expertise, context reviews and substantive suggestions, edits and recommendations;
Coordinate support, orientation, training, for deploying and deployed personnel;
Coordinate and organize travel or various events pertaining to issues of importance to Deputy Inspector General for Overseas Contingency Operations (DIG OCO);
Prepare talking points, background papers and attend meetings as a representative or observer on matters of interest to the DIG-OCO.
Ensure prompt and orderly flow and processing of classified and unclassified documents, reports and inter-agency information and in keeping appropriate personnel informed of matters of interest.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with departmental and interagency contacts to ensure effective, factual and timely exchange of information.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: Applicant must have 1 year (52 weeks) of demonstrated experience at the equivalent GS-13 level in the Federal service with demonstrated experience defined as: skill in the analysis and development of policy papers, oversight plans and evaluation of large scale programs and operations.
Knowledge of evaluative standards, methods, and qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques in order to apply them to study areas and oversight projects.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
