Duties

Help
  • Supervise back office staff assigning work and ensuring timely submission of various reports to accounting department.
  • Responsible for preparation and reconciliation of daily cash drawers, bank deposits, petty cash, monthly bank and receipt statements, daily accounting reports and other reports as required.
  • Operate and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system. Provide training to employees on the system and assist with technical issues as needed.
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations concerning revenue improvement, services, promotions, accounting compliance and operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Ability to work independently and refer problems to the manager only as necessary.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend , stoop and reach with arms over head repeatedly and frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds.
  • Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a medical examination.
  • During special events at USAG Carlisle Barracks the ability to work outdoors to support retail operations under tents. Some are in non-air conditioned spaces.

Qualifications

1) One year of work experience directly related to the duties described above with Retail, Point of Sale cash register and Cash handling.
2) Experience with computers and computer software.
3) Knowledge of exemplary customer service skills.
4) Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

This position is a regular part-time (RPT) position and there are 20 guaranteed hours, but you may be scheduled for no more than 39 hours per week.
