Duties

Help
  • Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar. Assures an adequate stock level is maintained, sets up store room and work area to permit easy access to stock items.
  • Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales and makes change or prepares charge slips.
  • Keeps bar and work area clean and sanitary. Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 (dated Aug 2019) is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Pursuant to EO 14043, all Federal employees, regardless of duty location or work arrangement, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by November 22, 2021, or before entrance on duty if after November 22, subject to exceptions as required by law.
  • If selected, the agency will provide information regarding what documentation is needed and how to request any legally required exceptions from this requirement.

  • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Must complete a medical examination/ physical within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
  2. Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  3. Must possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
  4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.
Highly Preferred Criteria:
  1. Must be able to work varying shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
