Duties

Help
  • Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public.
  • Maintains accountability records and in performing shelf inventories.
  • Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems.
  • May perform physical activity such as long periods of standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, pushing of loaded trucks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
  • Incumbent may also required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Health and immunizations are required.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade
Or
Two years of education above high school
Or
A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.

Best Qualified: 1 year experience working in a public or MWR library
