*THESE DUTIES WILL FOCUS ON THE PAPERWORK REDUCTION ACT*

As a/an Records and Information Management Specialist, you will:

- Provide technical oversight in leading projects and studies in the compliance and improvement of RIM programs. The projects and studies determine the impact of changes in legislative and regulatory requirements on RIM programs as well as information technology.
- Monitor, track and assess the status of the overall RIM compliance program including the relationship between the Departmental Offices and the Treasury Bureaus.
- Provide analytical and other support to ensure the proper implementation and compliance of RIM program requirements. This entails identifying program needs and solutions; assisting in developing program objectives; measuring progress toward objectives; identifying problem areas; and evaluating, developing and implementing corrective actions.
-Identify, develop, and implement necessary policies and procedures for RIM programs. Review policy guidelines, standard operating procedures, trends and issues involved with these programs to identify systemic trends indicating the need to update policies or procedures.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Providing authoritative guidance on, and technical oversight over compliance with records and information management laws, with particular focus on the Paperwork Reduction Act.; AND
- Leading projects to strengthen compliance with records and information management laws, with particular focus on the Paperwork Reduction Act.; AND
- Independently monitoring, tracking and assessing agency compliance with records and information management program(s), with particular focus on the Paperwork Reduction Act.; AND
- Independently performing analysis to identify gaps in Paperwork Reduction Act compliance, making sound recommendations to address such gaps, and implementing strategies to ensure compliance and accountability.
