Duties

Help
  • Coordinates with the SAC (Special Agent in Charge) in developing materials used for formulating, justifying, and executing budgets and monitors expenditure of funds.
  • Participates in reviewing management analysis programs with a view towards developing improvements of major problem areas in administrative management.
  • Plans, develops, and maintains systems and procedures for personnel management activities.
  • Completes and/or reviews personnel action requests.
  • Serves as a point-of-contact and Government Purchase Cardholder for vendors and manufacturer representatives and makes recommendations for purchase of supplies.
  • Serves as the primary property custodian for accountable property assigned to the office.
  • Provides guidance to staff concerning policy and procedures for preparing and reviewing travel authorizations and vouchers.
  • Reviews and analyzes incoming correspondence.
  • Assists the Transnational Operations Resident Agents with administrative support as requested.
  • Performs administrative duties as assigned by Transnational Operations Field Office leadership.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience Definition: Specialized Experience for this position consists of having one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level grade level or pay band in the Federal service that includes being the focal point for all administrative management matters in the field office, resident agencies, and posts of duties, and performs the following functional management responsibilities in support the Special Agency in Charge (SAC): budget formulation and execution, financial management, personnel management, administrative policies and procedures, training and employee development, space design and allotment, property management, procurement, and the variety of day-to-day administrative services essential to office operations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

GS-11 Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. OR

A combination of specialized experience and education required to qualify at the GS-11 level as described above. (Only graduate education in excess of the Master's degree semester hours (2 years) may be used to qualify.) The percentage of the education plus the percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent. If you qualify by a combination, your experience must be detailed in your resume and transcripts are required.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be used to substitute for the specialized experience requirement.

PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more that 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specialized in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
