Duties

Help
  • Prepare enrollment and contract documents for students enrolling in the basic and advanced courses to include requesting transcripts on new individuals interested in pursuing ROTC.
  • Contact and coordinate with location National Guard and Reserve recruiters in the referral and placement of Cadets into National Guard or Army Reserve units as part of the Simultaneous Membership Program.
  • Monitor Cadet life cycle performance and academic transcripts, transfer of credit, GPA, Tuition and Fees, academic major, class rolls and student contact information to ensure continued compliance with eligibility and commissioning requirements.
  • Prepare medical and personnel files for cadet attending Cadet Summer Training and Cadet Professional Development Training.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: work that involves technical skill and the use of automated systems to update military personnel records for Cadet ;perform personnel functions and provide services in support of military Cadre personnel actions to include, maintaining travel and lodging arrangements, government travel, certification of travel and pay documents; prepare processing evaluations, awards, in-processing/out-processing, leave, leave log, and promotions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this position you may qualify if your education meets the definition below and is directly related to the position being filled: One and a half years of graduate education meets the requirements for GS-08. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge,skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. (Transcripts must be attached).This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

OR

Have a combination of experience and education as described above which, when combined, is equivalent to 100% of the qualification requirement.
