The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Conducts investigations of possible violations of federal alcohol and tobacco law.
Conducts various investigations involving enforced collection, firearms and ammunition excise tax (FAET) matters, and alcohol and tobacco revenue matters.
Participates in investigations with other Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies. Investigates referrals from other Federal, State and local governments.
Manages projects involving studies of processes, problems and initiatives which concern Bureau programs and associated activities in other Federal, State, local and international enforcement and regulatory agencies and organizations.
**This position is 100% telework. The selectee must reside within 50 miles of the Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI commuting areas prior to Entry on Duty (EOD).**
There will be one selection made in either the Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI locality.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-11: One year of experience at the GS-09 level or equivalent in federal service, that is directly related to the position which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities. Specialized experience is defined as: -Regularly performing civil or criminal investigations or inspections.
OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., if related.

Combination of experience and education. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.
