Assist professional or higher graded technical personnel by performing varied duties requiring knowledge and understanding of tests, procedures, information, gathering, reporting, and documentation in one or more physical sciences.
Survey field sites for basic facts for entry into databases and/or geospatial automated information systems.
Carry out data collection and analyses.
Prepares reports and answers inquiries, where knowledge and understanding is required to make proper interpretation.

Physical Demands: The work is a mixture of sedentary work in the office and field work that involves some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; possibly recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or requiring lifting of moderately heavy items.
