Duties

Help

As a/an Management Analyst, you will:The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

  • Provides administrative and management advice and assistance to managers, supervisors and employees on sensitive and confidential matters pertaining to human capital and resource management areas, such as staffing, labor relations, etc.
  • Evaluates opportunities for improvements in management systems and presents recommendations for review and implementation.
  • Reviews and analyzes Homeownership Center personnel's Performance Appraisal submissions.
  • Assist in the development of plans, programs and work analyses necessary to define, establish and implement administrative, personnel, control systems and work methods and procedures.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-12, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

- Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of program operations; AND
- Reporting findings and making verbal and/or written recommendations that are adopted by management; AND
- Experience conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.


For the GS-11, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Assist with the process of applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of program operations; AND
- Reporting findings and making verbal and/or written recommendations that are adopted by management; AND
- Assist conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.

OR

- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;

OR

- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;

OR

- LL.M., if related

OR

Combination: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.

For the GS-09, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

- Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques; AND
- Prepares written reports in support of studies, proposals, and evaluations; AND
- Experience conducting special research projects.

OR

- A masters or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D. Education must be related to the position to be qualifying.

OR

Combination: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.


Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
