This position is within the Warfare Demonstration Personnel Project. The ND-04 pay band encompasses the GS-12/13 pay grades.

Duties

Help
  • You will perform project planning duties including preparation of cost proposals, planning project execution, providing technical oversight and preparing written procedures/permits.
  • You will will ensure environmental requirements are met to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulatory requirements under Clean Air/Water Acts, CERCLA, RCRA, HAZMAT and OSHA guidelines
  • You will develop solutions to problems, and communicate project and environmental requirements both orally and in writing
  • You will monitor decontamination and disposal work for compliance with procedures and environmental requirements.
  • You will support a manufacturing organization. You will be required to report to the duty location advertised in the announcement on a regular and reoccurring basis. Occasional telework options may be available.

Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/11) or pay band (ND-3) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional Scientist coordinating project planning initiatives to support environmental compliance related projects.

Basic Requirements:
  1. Degree: physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.

    or

  2. Combination of education and experience -- education equivalent to one of the majors shown in A above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
