Summary

The FHFA Office of Inspector General (FHFA-OIG) is responsible for, among other things, conducting audits, investigations, and other activities of the programs and operations of FHFA, and recommending polices that promote economy and efficiency in the administration of, and prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse in, FHFA's programs and operations.

As a Human Resources Director, you will direct, manage and provide day-to-day oversight of all aspects of FHFA-OIG's Human Resources program.

As a Human Resources Director, you will:

- Serve as a key advisor to senior level managers and staff personnel, providing authoritative guidance and assistance in all areas of human resources management practices, policies, regulations, and laws.
- Develop information for and prepare special or recurring reports and studies relating to the total human resources program or specific areas for management use.
- Establish and manage the strategic planning, programming, budgeting, execution, and evaluation of the human resource programs and services on a day-to-day basis, maintaining operational efficiency and expenditures within limits to ensure sound financial operations.
- Research and stay abreast of current developments laws and regulations affecting human resources operations.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the EL/GS-0201-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the EL/GS-14 grade level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following:

- Independently providing technical advice/consulting support to senior agency managers in at least 3 of the following areas: staffing, employee relations, classification, performance management, compensation/benefits; AND
-
Supervising and/or leading (formally or informally) the work of a staff; AND
- Hands on experience consulting with executive level staff regarding sensitive HR situations to make recommendations and implement solutions.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the EL-15, you must have been at the EL/GS-14level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
