Program Analysts apply analytical techniques and information management skills to capture, assemble and disseminate data for assigned projects; conduct analyses; prepare, evaluate, and coordinate activities; and provide advice to management in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent.

To qualify at the GS12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Examples of this experience include: planning and scheduling, or conducting processes used to report budget and program disposition; reviewing criteria used to measure or predict the attainment of budget or program goals and objectives; reviewing and reporting on adherence to policy guidance such as those governing the allocation of personnel, supplies, equipment, and other resources; skill in using computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, communication programs and/or other applicable financial systems.
Education may enhance skills required for this position; however, no substitution of education for specialized experience may be made at this level.
Relocation Expenses will not be paid.
