Duties

Help

As a/an Marketing and Outreach Specialist (Communications), you will:
- Serve as the Marketing Outreach Specialist (Communications); advisor to the Single Family Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS). As a technical consultant advisor responsible for developing strategies, analyzing; producing for communicating and marketing Single Family Housing programs.
- Assist with the development of and makes recommendations regarding the annual budget for marketing and outreach implementation activities, to include recommending and justifying expenditures. Develop, recommend, and communicate national policy guides, procedures and plans for the effective implementation of Single Family's programs and objectives for the programs.
- Write comprehensive communications plans and supporting tactics; creates content for FHA's stakeholder community; and disseminates and formats emails for delivery through a digital content management system.
- Review and analyze written material for objectivity, style, presentation, coherence, sentence structure, and readability. Ensure that written materials are accurate (fact checking), logically consistent, well-organized, well-researched, and appropriate for the intended audience.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-14 is one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Interpreting and communicating policies, procedures and regulations related to single family programs, products and services offered by government-insured, guaranteed or conventional mortgage market participants.

Examples of this experience may include:
- Developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans, including conducting communications-related research for single family products or programs; OR
- Creating or overseeing the creation of a wide range of communication/collateral/marketing/promotional material that leverage both online and offline media opportunities and is targeted toward multiple audiences with a mortgage industry discipline.


Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
