This position is being filled under DoD Modified Direct Hire Authority, Section 1109; PL, 116-92, dated 12/20/2019 .

As a IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) at the NH-2210-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • - Assisting the contracting officers in the creation, modification, and management of IT contracts.
  • Analyzing and assessing statements of work (SOW) in IT contracts to ensure that products and services provided by contractors meet performance requirements.
  • Assuring contractors and government representatives meet legal requirements within set contracts.
  • Monitoring and auditing contract status of multiple IT and manpower related contracts to identify contractual gaps and overlaps and to provide spot analysis of trends during contract fulfillment.
  • Preparing and briefing the directorate's leaders on the results of monitoring activities, analysis of the current situation and proposed courses of action for decision for policy modifications to mitigate contract risks.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH -03 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience as listed below equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector:

  • Creating and modifying contracts to meet mission objectives
  • Analyzing and assessing contract performance
  • Preparing reports and briefing executive leadership
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
