Duties are performed aboard an inboard marine drive, diesel powered, 35 passenger charter fishing or tour vessel.
Performs general maintenance work; repairing and painting decks, hulls, superstructure and interior spaces of vessels, handling lines during docking, moving and towing operations, mending lines, standing lookout and operating fishing gear.
Orients passengers in the use of fishing gear and explains species of fish.
Cleans vessel at end of day, to include removing garbage, scrubbing decks, railings and sides of vessel, washing windows, cleaning of passenger cabin and marine head.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation and a pre-employment physical.
Must have or be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
This position is covered by the DA Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. Incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R.
This position has critical safety or security responsibilities and as such has been designated as a testing designated position (TDP).
As a condition of employment, incumbent of a TDP is subject to a random drug test that occurs without suspicion that a particular individual is using illegal drugs.
Qualifications
Knowledge of and skill in the use of fishing and vessel equipment.
Ability to use and maintain appropriate tools and equipment.
Ability to communicate.
Skill in the use of fishing and vessel equipment.
Knowledge of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
