The Office of the Inspector General Evaluation and Inspections Division (E&I Division) is seeking qualified applicants for a Program Manager (Quality Assurance) position.
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for evaluations, inspections, and reviews of DOJ programs. As a Program Manager (Quality Assurance), you will perform the following duties:
Serving as E&I's subject matter expert for quality assurance and quality control methods, principles, and practices.
Managing all aspects of E&I's quality assurance program, including assessing the effectiveness of existing operations and their compliance with professional standards.
Leading by example through initiative, creativity, and flexibility in conducting work; and through anticipating and dealing effectively with obstacles.
Preparing detailed analyses and comprehensive written reports consistent with the OIG writing style.
Creating recommendations to facilitate organizational or process changes.
Developing highly productive relationships with internal and external parties, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and coordination to accomplish goals and effectively utilize resources.
Managing and developing employees, including: assigning appropriate workloads; identifying training needs; and addressing conduct and performance issues.
Demonstrating professional behavior in all interactions with others in a manner that reflects the organizational values of the OIG.
Recognizing patterns and trends in OIG and Division findings to connect personnel with relevant subject matter expertise in support of Division work products.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
You must be registered for the Selective Service, if applicable.
You must successfully pass and are subject to random drug screenings.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the defined duties that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform this job.
Examples of specialized experience include: serving as a subject matter expert on quality assurance and quality control methods, principles, and practices; managing independent referencing reviews; participating in or conducting peer reviews; participating in or conducting quality assurance and quality control training; developing quality control resources; assessing operations, policies, practices, or processes to determine compliance with standards; and communicating performance expectations, providing feedback, and periodically evaluating employee performance.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade level (or equivalent).
COVID:
