  • This is a developmental water resource planner position; duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-7 and GS-9 grade level. At the full performance, GS-11, the incumbent will:
  • Plan studies for complex Civil Works projects such as shallow and deep draft navigation, flood control erosion control, shore protection, ecosystem restoration and other water resources uses and purposes.
  • Determines factors to be considered; outlines working plans; sets up analytical methods, procedures and techniques to be used weighing relative values of various methods.
  • Reviews expenditures and timeliness of work of organizational elements contributing to studies.
  • Formulates and evaluates alternatives consistent with study objectives, conducts field investigations, and reviews and develops data for assigned studies.

Specialized Experience GS-7:
One year of experience which includes participating in the planning activities to determine the extent of the water resource problems and to formulate the possible alternative plans.
