Help

As a Supervisory Loan Servicing Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as a chief advisor to the Insurance Operations Division Director, the Albany Financial Operations Center Director, the Office of Financial Services Director, the Housing-FHA Comptroller, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Finance and Budget, other Housing and HUD management officials, and representatives from other Federal agencies on matters pertaining to the financial management and fiscal servicing of the Title I insurance program and Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) program.
  • Establish and maintain necessary liaison relationships with applicable lender and consumer associations, leagues, chapters, and other groups on a state-by-state basis as well as applicable local, state, and Federal agencies in furtherance of promoting the program and developing a climate conducive to administering the program with a minimum of obstacles.
  • Oversee the development, enhancement, maintenance, and operation of complex automated systems that contain and generate financial data used to adjust lender insurance reserves accounts, transfer loans between purchasing and selling lenders, process insurance claims, and recover repurchase of erroneous claims and other receivables.
  • Assure that the Branch fulfills its customer service obligations by providing program participants with training and technical advice to improve performance and reduce costs, and on new or revised programs, policies, procedures, and systems. Also assures that the Branch provides effective customer service by resolving issues and problems related to the activities of the Branch.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Working on project teams tasked with addressing issues related to financial management matters; AND
- Preparing oral and written reports on financial management matters; AND
- Preparing or revising operating procedures.

Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
