Provide technical and tactical safety assistance to the director in the development, organization, and execution of the safety program at general staff level in support of the Joint Readiness Training Center through written and oral presentations.
Provide installation level technical advice to the commanding general regarding adherence to OSHA compliance requirements. Conducts in excess of 600 facility inspections annually across 242,000 acres of training land.
Provide safety oversight to rotational training units during Reception Staging Onward movement and Integration, force-on-force, and redeployment for up to 8000 personnel and 1400 vehicles to provide safety guidance at the Pre-deployment Site Survey.
Provides daily tactical brigade level safety analysis and assessments to the commanding general, the Division Exercise Director, and the Commander of Operations Group.
Assist all Army components on Fort Polk with expert safety guidance on technical and tactical operations in support of safety programs. Prepare unit safety officers for inspections through detailed training.
Serve as the installation lead instructor for all-terrain and off-road recreation vehicle safety training. Conduct in excess of twenty ATV/ORV safety courses annually.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) conducting rail head operations for the upload and download of tactical vehicles; (2) Coordinating, monitoring, and developing safety procedures and guidelines for assigned mission activities; (3) establishing fuel points in tactical assembly areas, recognizing hazards with potential to cause catastrophic mishaps in field environments and accident investigation of tactical vehicle accidents.
