Duties

Help

The Assistant Clerk (Case Analyst) screens new case submissions for jurisdictional and procedural compliance with the statutes and Rules of the Court, enters new cases into the automated docket and the Court's electronic filing system, and corresponds with counsel and pro se litigants on jurisdictional and procedural issues.

Qualifications

Three years of experience in progressively responsible positions in an appellate court or other legal environment preferred. Three years of additional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement. A working knowledge of the Rules of the Court and applicable sections of the U.S. Code preferred. Ability to analyze complex situations, to communicate clearly, effectively, promptly and courteously, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.

Education

A college degree is required.
