Help

As a/an Management and Program Analyst (Senior Single Family Housing Advisor), you will:

  • Identify problems and trends within specific program areas and across the enterprise and designs, coordinates, and manages projects and initiatives that maximize the effectiveness of FHA programs; provides timely expert advice and guidance to the DAS and ADAS, providing comprehensive analysis of needs and opportunities for policy or program enhancements.
  • Act as lead and primary representative for the DAS and ADAS in the execution of high priority initiatives; anticipates, identifies, diagnoses, and consults on potential or actual problem areas relating to program implementation and goal achievement; analyzes effectiveness of new policies or procedures and develops appropriate modifications or revisions to improve effectiveness.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of FHA programs and operations, act as a resource and subject matter expert for program offices and HOCs in the development and administration of procedures to effectively implement new policy or programmatic initiatives
  • Facilitate program office and HOC collaboration for the execution of program-specific and cross-cutting initiatives, resolve problems and eliminates impediments that hinder the effective implementation of assigned functions or limit the success of initiatives, and ensure satisfactory execution of DAS and ADAS directives.
  • Provides coordination and leadership to ensure that the Office of Single Family Housing operates at an optimal level and in accordance with current policies and procedures established by the Department; maintains quality control over all assigned functions; and is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all decisions.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
- Analyzing mortgage origination and servicing transactions against policy and program requirements; AND
- Analyzing a variety of operational and housing issues and providing recommendations to senior management; AND
- Developing or directing the development of new or revised policies, procedures, standards, guidance or training for mortgage origination and servicing of government-insured or conventional Single Family home mortgage programs; AND
- Developing performance and planning tools and administrative requirements to effect organizational changes, improve operations or enhance program services or delivery; AND
- Experience working with managers and stakeholders of the mortgage finance industry to create industry awareness of an organization's policy and budget goals.

Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
