Duties

Help

This position is located at the USFPO in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to function as the logistics manager of the organization and to serve as the organizational Property Book Officer (PBO) responsible for routine accomplishment and oversight of property accountability functions.

  • NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the USPFO.
  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
  • Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
  • Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
  • Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • Newly hired employees and employees of the Arizona National Guard are required to be fully vaccinated by 22 November 2021 or before appointment or onboarding with the agency, if after 22 November, per Executive Order 14043.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.
  • Recruitment/Relocation incentive may be authorized, depending on availability of funds and approval.

Qualifications

Military Grades: SGT/E5 - MSG/1SG/E8 or WO1/W1 - CW2/W2 or 2LT/O1 - CPT/O3

Compatible Military Assignments: Possess one of the following appropriate MOS/Branch:
Enlisted MOS: 92 Series
Warrant Officer MOS: 920A
Officer Branch: 90A or 92A

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices. Experience planning and organizing work assignments.

Education

You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):

1. Knowledge to develop, implement, and evaluate the logistics and property accountability policies for the organization.

2. Ability to be responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management.

3. Skilled in maintaining property book accountability utilizing an automated system and/or related computer programs to account for property.

4. Ability to ensure compliance with the command supply discipline program (CSDP), and other directed command inspection programs.

5. Ability to coordinate with the USPFO, state level Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) and subordinate units of the organization on the lateral transfer and/or turn in of excess property.
