MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures security of all guests is maintained at all times Ensures guest privacy is maintained at all times. Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude; demonstrate effective communication skills; professionally interact with guests; answering guest questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide information about local attractions. Provide assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary. The incumbent is responsible for the inventory of supplies and linen used in support of the operation. Prepare purchase request forms/documents for approval and places orders for APF/NAF purchases, where appropriate. Maintains assigned storerooms and linen storage spaces and is required to maintain a minimum of 90% inventory accuracy. Receives and counts linen received from the commercial laundry service or onsite laundry operation. Issues linen as requested by the housekeeping department. Receives, counts, places in inventory and prepares goods receipts for all supplies as appropriate. Maintains stock records and conducts monthly inventories as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Education

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Preferred 6 months of work experience that demonstrates incumbent knowledge of inventory management including purchasing procedures and computerized record keeping. Revised February 2012 Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs and proficient with a calculator. Must possess basic math and reading skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
