Duties

Help
  • Provides Marketing Functional services under general supervision.
  • Duties include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and community awareness of all MWR programs.
  • Conducts media relations with on-post media (Public Affairs Office) and off-post media (print, radio, and television).
  • Serves as the primary planner and action officer for a variety of recurring and special events, and activities that take place at the installation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Prior work experience in a marketing environment that involved public speaking, preparing a marketing plan, budget planning and event planning.
2. Prior work experience writing and editing reports, contracts and/or briefings.
3. Prior work experience with Microsoft Office and current visual and digital/web design software.
4. Some experience working with public affairs and/or off-post media in print, digital, radio and television.

Highly Preferred:
Possess at least 2 years of Department of Defense Nonappropriated Fund activity Marketing and Sponsorship and Advertising experience which includes but not limited to seeking commercial sponsorship (sales and negotiations), developing marketing techniques and strategies, planning special events and possessing great customer service skills.

Temporary Telework due to COVID-19

At that time, you may be eligible to request to continue to telework one or more days a pay period depending on the terms of the agency's telework policy.
