Ensures contractor compliance with all requirements related to the design, manufacturing, repair, overhaul, and modernization of a
variety of items for contractor and customer activities throughout the world.
Performs as a functional specialist and is responsible for identifying, understanding, proofing, measuring, and analyzing contractor
production process capability; and for promoting continuous improvement.
Develops and implements a surveillance plan which begins with clear objectives supported by a master schedule that includes
identification of contractor and sub-contractor production needs.
Independently performs audits/surveillance of contractor's processes to ensure customer and contractual requirements are met.
Collects, analyzes, and interprets data at selected performance measurement points to aid in determining the capability, including
strengths and weaknesses, of any given process or sub-process.
Provides technical support to all other DCMA team members, assisting in the analysis of contract related issues to determine the best
course of action to support the contractor and customers.
Possession of a valid state driver's license is required.

A medical/dental examination is required. You must pass a pre-deployment examination and maintain a pre-deployment physical condition throughout the 4-year commitment.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Quality Assurance Specialist (Electronics), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Planning and implementing quality assurance aircraft manufacturing/production processes to evaluate risk management programs.
Performing technical quality data analysis to determine supplier compliance with contractual requirements.
Fact finding or investigative techniques of unsatisfactory trends to develop recommendations to correct deficiencies and employ continuous improvement techniques.
Providing technical support and recommendations to team members to ensure mission requirements are delivered.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
Additional information
This is a permanent GS-12 position. Upon deployment overseas, the employee will be temporarily promoted to the GS-13 grade level, if eligible, for the duration of the deployment. Upon return to CONUS the employee will be changed to lower grade to the permanent grade level.
If you do not meet the Time in Grade or Specialized experience for the temporary promotion, you will deploy at the lower grade level, GS-12.
Once the four year commitment is successfully met you will be placed into a non-deployable position in the CMO for which you were hired at the permanent GS-12 grade level.
This position is designated as Emergency-Essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, incumbent will be subject to deployment on a TDY basis to overseas duty location(s) to perform assigned duties particular to the deployment. Failure to deploy when required and/or meet the medical requirements of deployment status may result in separation from Federal Service.
