Duties

Help

1. Serves as HNC-CY Deputy Director. Provides executive programmatic direction and conduct of the total Air Force cyber mission USAF cyber and two joint USCYBERCOM activities
2. Executes actions to ensure support will be responsive and conducted in an economical, efficient, and pragmatic manner.
3. Provides technical and policy guidance to staff personnel in areas of budgeting, civilian personnel and technology management.
4. Performs supervisory responsibilities. Directs, coordinates and oversees work through subordinate supervisor. Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives.

  • Position is designated special-sensitive, incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed
  • PCS expenses will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations
  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program

Qualifications

This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering, program management, and product support and Air Force, AFMC, and HN policies, regulations, goals, and missions, especially as applied to the acquisition of cyber systems and Extensive knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions; and high-level of ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information; plan, organize, integrate, and manage a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in providing program support and make sound judgments concerning program activities and progress. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Extensive knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering, program management, and product support and Air Force, AFMC, and HN policies, regulations, goals, and missions, especially as applied to the acquisition of cyber systems.
2. Expert knowledge of other acquisition functional roles in the system acquisition process.
3. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
4. Expert knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and monitoring contractor activities.
5. Extensive knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions; and high-level of ability to gather and analyze a variety of program information; plan, organize, integrate, and manage a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in providing program support and make sound judgments concerning program activities and progress.
6. Must be able to participate and/or lead in study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints. Must also be able to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and to design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.
7. Ability to plan, organize, lead and manage critical aspects of research, development, production and support of a system, subsystems, or equipment and integrate, analyze, and manage a variety of acquisition functions in support of the process.
8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in order to produce highly technical reports, position papers and briefings which are appropriate for the intended audience.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
