-Reviews and processes assigned applications, grants, cooperative agreements and leadership initiatives from the Design and Creative Placemaking field.
-Counsels applicants and prospective applicants about proposed projects in context of published guidelines and with knowledge of field activities and trends as well as agency funding history of specific projects.
-Manages items related to special Design and Creative Placemaking leadership initiatives that arise; including cooperative agreements for the Mayors' Institute on City Design and the Creative Placemaking Technical Assistance Program. Duties also include managing series of meetings and convenings, webinar development and management and other work items as they occur as well as processing cooperative agreements, interagency agreements, contracts and other government documents.
-Prepares a variety of statistical and narrative reports concerning areas of responsibility for use by Division Management Team, Deputy Chairman for Programs and Partnerships, Senior Staff, and the Chairman.
-Serves as agency liaison with Design and Creative Placemaking field. Represents the agency at select conferences, meetings, and panels.
-Must be a U.S. Citizen or National

-May be required to successfully complete a probationary period

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirement:
You must have at least one year of full-time specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, with experience in performing the following duties: reviewing or composing arts and culture grant applications; monitoring grant performance; working with grants in the Design and Creative Placemaking arts field; developing and delivering presentations to public audiences, drafting correspondence and developing complex documents through the use of technology (such as budgets, spreadsheets, Power Point presentations, and letters/emails).
You must clearly show in your resume how you have the experience required above, including with Design and Creative Placemaking, or you will be rated ineligible.
