The incumbent will possess good understanding of standard cleaning and sanitation procedures is required to clean a variety of surfaces and equipment. Understands the application and proper uses for several special cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
Removes stains from various surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
Maintains inventory of general laboratory supplies and orders replacement, as needed.
Ensures stock of clean lab coats and aprons is enough for staff daily use.
Conducts maintenance checks on variety of equipment used on a daily basis.
Moves shipment boxes, heavy furniture, supplies and equipment.
Individuals who were born male after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.
