Responsible for managing the 7-day per week operations of the Buffalo Corral Stables.
Develops budgetary data. Evaluates financial statements, reviewing costs against revenues, advising supervisor of status and recommending improvements in merchandise lines, marketing, etc.
Schedules, directs, and supervises assigned staff to ensure the care and welfare of the horses, the maintenance of the barns, arenas, round pens, and other facilities, and makes sure that all stable services are delivered with high quality.
Represents the activity to the public. Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities and revenue improvements.
Transports or arranges the transport of horses and feed. Lifts and moves up to 50-pounds, such as bales of hay, saddles, and other equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Incumbent must be willing and able to work a variable shift to include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and possible holidays as needed.
Must be able to travel occasionally to various geographical locations for training.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Requires a National Agency Check, with additional childcare inquiries (CNACI).
Ability to work outdoors in a dusty environment.
Ability to repetitively bend, stoop, and reach.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One (1) year specialized experience in the management of horse stables, or closely related business involving caring for & ensuring the welfare of large livestock, and experience reporting profit/loss?
OR
Four (4) years education above high school level in a degree program related to Integrated Animal Business?

Allowances, Incentives, and PCS Costs:
This position is eligible for Night Differential and Sunday Premium Pay.
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
