Position Description Number for T5908100:

This position is located in the Logistics Readiness Squadron, Mission Support Group at an Air National Guard Wing. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Technician/Commander of the Logistics Readiness Squadron. Functions as the senior technical advisor as well as the supervisor of logistics readiness operations including but not limited to: readiness; logistics planning; resource management; supply and transportation support; procedures and systems; etc. Provides training to unit members in the accomplishment of the tasks of the squadron mission. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft/vehicle to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • Must have a valid driver?s license.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
  • This position is an Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
  • May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
  • Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
  • The incumbent must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
  • Contracting Level I required within 24 months from assignment.
  • The incumbent must meet the continuing acquisition education requirements IAW DoDI 5000.66 paragraph E2.2.8.
  • IAW the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: 3 years of progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical, or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as it provided evidence of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) necessary to perform the duties of the position to be filled (PD #T5908100).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position (PD #T5908100), and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled (PD #T5908100). To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization (GS-0346-11). Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated above, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.

Education

Combining Education and Experience: Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11. (When crediting education that requires specific course work, prorate the number of hours of related courses required as a proportion of the total education to be used.)
