Duties

Help
  • This position is for the Technical Director within the Program Executive Office Defense Health Management Systems (PEO DHMS), DOD Healthcare Management Systems Modernization Program Management Office (DHMSM PMO)
  • Leads expert and principle technical advisor to senior agency officials responsible for the planning, direction, and management of strategic technical efforts as assigned by the Department of Defense (DOD).
  • Represents the program in technical efforts including planning and establishing the technical roadmap and boundaries of assigned areas with consideration of general requirements and scope of effort.
  • Provides technical advice and assistance to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work.
  • Provides strategic oversight in the preparation of program documentation in support of systems engineering and cybersecurity efforts.
  • Recommends adjustments or shifts in program emphasis to obtain the desired balance of programmed objectives for major programs.
  • Prepares and defines technical details for budget and work program estimates to be submitted to Program Executive Office Defense Health Management Systems (PEO DHMS).

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is designated as a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). The incumbent will be required to sign a Tenure Agreement which requires the incumbent to remain in this position for a minimum of 3 years.
  • This DAW position requires the incumbent to be Level III certified at time of assignment or able to acquire Level III certification within 24 months of assignment in the DAW career field of Information Technology.
  • Pursuant to EO 14043, all Federal employees, regardless of duty location or work arrangement, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by November 22, 2021, or before entrance on duty if after November 22, subject to exemptions as required by law.

Basic Requirement for Technical Director, NH-0301-04

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; exercising administrative oversight the Acquisition program; AND assisting to establish technical requirements; AND preparing of program documentation in support of systems engineering, cybersecurity, or test and evaluation efforts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03)
