Duties

Help

As a Engineering Equipment Operator WG-5716-8, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

  • Operate heavy equipment consisting of backhoe, four-wheel tractor, front end loader, trenching machine, road grader.
  • Operate trucks to haul or move materials or equipment.
  • Operate mowers, brush hogs, chain saws, weed eaters.
  • Performs snow removal Remove trees including operating wood chippers, tree stump removing machines.
  • Performs general equipment repair and maintenance on facilities management vehicles.
  • Performs excavation work.
  • Operate tire changing machines, lifts snow blowers, tillers. land levelers and seeders

Qualifications

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications and will be evaluated on their ability to perform duties of the position rather than the length of experience.
Eligibility will be determined by the relevance, scope and quality of all experience and training.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement at this grade level. Therefore, no transcripts are required.

The Bureau of Indian Education has determined that the duties of this position are suitable scheduled, situational and for emergency telework.
